Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant eager to develop their legal expertise, or an experienced Conveyancer confident in managing files efficiently and with professionalism. This role is central to residential property transactions, where precision, speed, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
For Conveyancing Assistant:
1. Assist fee earners with a caseload encompassing residential property matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
2. Draught and prepare legal documents, contracts, and completion statements accurately
3. Conduct searches and liaise with local authorities and relevant third parties
4. Manage client onboarding, identity verification, and file opening procedures
5. Respond to enquiries and provide timely updates to clients, estate agents, and lenders
6. Maintain precise records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
For Conveyancer (Fee Earner Level):
7. Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion
8. Offer clear and practical advice to clients throughout the transaction process
9. Review title documentation, raise enquiries, and resolve legal issues promptly and effectively
10. Communicate with clients, agents, lenders, and solicitors to facilitate smooth progress
11. Ensure transactions proceed efficiently within agreed timescales
12. Uphold high standards of client care and regulatory compliance
Requirements
For Conveyancing Assistant:
13. Previous experience in conveyancing or legal support is advantageous
14. Strong administrative and organisational abilities
15. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
16. Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
17. Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach
For Conveyancer:
18. Proven ability to manage a residential conveyancing caseload independently
19. Qualified Solicitor, Licenced Conveyancer, Legal Executive, or an experienced non-qualified fee earner
20. Comprehensive technical knowledge of the conveyancing process
21. Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
22. Excellent client care and relationship management skills
Desirable
23. Familiarity with case management systems
24. Experience handling high-volume caseloads
