Urgent Care GP Doctor – Temporary Contract (York) Recruiter: Service Care Solutions Location: York, Yorkshire Pay Rate: £80/hour (Ltd) (PAYE equivalent available upon request) Contract Type: Locum – 6 to 12 months Shifts: Flexible – Block booking & ad hoc available Schedule: Monday to Sunday shifts available Role Responsibilities As an Urgent Care GP, you will be expected to: Conduct patient consultations, including physical exams and history taking Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions Prescribe medications and manage repeat prescriptions Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests Refer patients to secondary care or specialist services when needed Promote preventative care and provide health education Manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension Maintain accurate patient records using EMIS or SystmOne (depending on the surgery)Requirements Fully qualified GP with CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) GMC registration Experience in primary care settings Ability to work independently and within a team Strong communication and clinical decision-making skillsBenefits £250 Welcome Bonus (after 150 hours worked) £500 Referral Bonus £250 Training Allowance Access to 6-month rotas 4-weekly payroll runs Flexible shifts Support from specialist consultants Nationwide opportunities across NHS Trusts and local authoritiesHow to Apply: If you're interested, please send your CV to: (url removed)
