Senior Industrial Disease Solicitor

With a deep-rooted commitment to client care and community engagement, the firm now seeks a talented individual to lead and grow its specialist Industrial Disease team.
The Role
This is ideally suited for a Senior Solicitor with a strong track record in asbestos-related litigation. As Solicitor, you will be responsible for the development of the firm’s asbestos practice, manage complex, high-value claims, and play a pivotal role in mentoring team members and driving the department’s strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
* Take lead responsibility for a caseload of asbestos-related personal injury claims.
* Strategically develop and grow the asbestos litigation department.
* Supervise, mentor, and support junior fee earners and administrative staff.
* Deliver empathetic, client-focused legal support to claimants and their families.
* Collaborate with medical experts, counsel, and insurers to progress claims.
* Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders including charities, healthcare professionals, and advocacy groups.
* Contribute to the firm’s business development and marketing efforts.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with SRA standards, GDPR, and internal quality protocols.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 6 years PQE.
* Extensive experience in asbestos disease litigation and industrial disease claims.
* Proven ability to manage complex, high-value cases independently.
* Established presence or network within the asbestos/industrial disease sector.
* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commercially astute, with a proactive approach to business development.
