An opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join a world leader in Waste Handling Equipment. Our client has already delivered a wide range of high-profile projects for local authorities and national and international contractors. Recently awarded a major contract, they are looking to add a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to their experienced team on a permanent basis.
The client is a successful international business with manufacturing and service facilities in the UK and abroad, with roots going back hundreds of years. They hold numerous accreditations, including ISO 9001 and Investors in People, and are leaders in innovation, safety, and aftermarket service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across buildings, plant, and equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and respond to breakdowns.
* Provide facilities support across multiple sites as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in facilities or plant maintenance.
* Completed a mechanical or craft apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Confident working at height and holding IOSH certification.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Flexible, proactive, and able to manage workload independently.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with maintenance systems.
