Position Overview:
We are seeking an in vitro biologist with strong expertise in cell culture and molecular biology to join our team at Hauxton House in Cambridge. As a Scientist or Senior Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our genetic therapy programmes by designing, optimising, and executing high‑quality in vitro assays. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of CamGene’s RNA and lipid nanoparticle technologies, helping to shape the next generation of our therapeutic platform.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, optimise, and execute in vitro cell based/molecular biology assays to evaluate RNA‑based therapeutic candidates for hearing loss
· Design and synthesise RNA and lipid nanoparticles
· Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to seamlessly integrate lipid nanoparticle design, RNA engineering, and in vitro assay development into unified project plans
· Analyse, interpret, and clearly communicate experimental data, providing insights and recommendations to project teams and key stakeholders
Essential Qualifications:
· BSc, MSc or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
· Experience in tissue culture & general molecular biology-based laboratory techniques
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and teamworking abilities
Desirable
* Experience in any of the following areas: hearing loss, neuroscience, lipid nanoparticles and therapeutic RNA
