My client a market leading multi-sited organisation are seeking a Trainee Accountant to join their established finance team based in Slough. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in many disciplines in finance. Working closely with different stakeholders you will enjoy a varied role that offers the chance to study towards a professional qualification whilst further developing your finance knowledge.
Responsibilities:
1. Processing of supplier invoices and payments
2. Assist in customer billings and master data
3. Assist in the processing of the self-billed payments
4. Processing of staff expenses and mileage claims
5. Completion of supplier reconciliations
6. Ensure all invoices are processed on a timely basis
7. Allocating direct debits, standing orders and faster payments
8. Debit balances monitoring and resolution
9. Ensure that all processing is in compliance with the company’s authorities policy
10. Maintain effective relations with the business by ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly and efficiently
11. Maintain procedures documentation
12. Provide holiday and sickness cover for all the Teams
13. Completing all tasks within deadlines
14. Relevant processes documentation to be kept up to date
15. Quick and accurate resolution of all queries
16. Maintain accurate document files for audit purposes
Requirements:
17. IT literate – strong Excel skills
18. Previous experience of Purchase Ledger / Billings
19. Experience of high-volume data processing
20. Good working knowledge of Excel
21. Keen eye for detail
22. Ability to work to tight deadlines
23. ‘Quality in everything we do, get it right first time’ attitude
24. Be a Team player with an ability to follow procedures and guidelines to achieve successful team outcomes
