Overview
At Specsavers, we want to help people jump feet first into opportunities and begin their journey in the world of work. And that’s just what our spectacle Technician apprenticeship does. As a spectacle technician – also known as lab technician – apprentice, you’ll be the hands behind the product as you learn how to make and repair glasses, produce customer orders, interpret prescriptions and so much more. If you’re looking for a hands-on role in a busy store lab surrounded by top of the range tech, you’ve come to the right place.
What’s on offer?
This apprenticeship takes 15-18 months to complete. Over the course of this time, you’ll get all the training you need to become a qualified Level 3 Lab Technician. Working for our exciting, innovative company, you’ll gain valuable experience from training and structured learning, supported by both the in-store and Specsavers apprenticeship team.
Over the course of the apprenticeship, you’ll be able to develop your knowledge to then help the team produce quality, affordable eyewear that’ll help millions of customers. Life looks better when it’s clearer, and you could be the one making that happen.
But what about the other more personal benefits? Well, our apprenticeship comes with a regular salary, 20+ days of paid holiday a year, plus bank holidays, as well as a load of benefits specific to your store.
The apprenticeship will also open the door to other career opportunities across Specsavers. Your managers and buddy will talk you through all of your potential options throughout the learning journey.
