We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. Location: Caterham Salary: £102.60 - £119.70 per day, Umbrella (PAYE option available) Start date: ASAP Responsibilities of SEND Teaching Assistant: * As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will need to provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including but not limited to: autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities * Assist with planning and delivering lessons and activities that are accessible and engaging for students with special educational needs * Help to develop and implement individual health and care plans (EHCPs) and behaviour plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support staff * Monitor and record student progress and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other support staff * Provide personal care and support as needed, including toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance * Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment The ideal candidate will have: * Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a school or educational setting ideally at KS3 & KS4 level * Some knowledge of different types of special educational needs and strategies for supporting students with those needs * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to take direction from teachers and other senior staff * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people * Valid UK DBS or be prepared to apply for a new one (we can do this for you) Benefits of working with ANZUK Education * Opportunities within our community * A commitment from the school and ANZUK to support with staff wellbeing * Professional, supportive and highly experienced team of Education Specialists from ANZUK will support you every step of the way * CPD and various training opportunities * Ethical, honest and transparent operating procedures * Share this job with a friend or colleague and receive £100 as a thank you once they have worked for 10 days, or successfully obtained a permanent post, through us About ANZUK: ANZUK Education is dedicated to creating exceptional experiences in education.
