We're recruiting for a leading organisation in the legal insurance space who are looking for an experienced Technical Claims Handler to join their growing Bristol team.
What you'll be doing:
* Handling a varied caseload of professional indemnity claims, from first notification through to resolution.
* Assessing cover, liability and quantum with accuracy and commercial awareness.
* Negotiating settlements within delegated authority.
* Managing panel solicitors and reporting to insurers where claims fall outside authority.
* Guiding insureds and brokers towards the best outcomes.
* Supporting colleagues with training and knowledge sharing.
What we're looking for:
* Solid technical claims experience, ideally in professional indemnity.
* Strong understanding of insurance law, compliance and regulation.
* Confident decision-maker with excellent communication skills.
* Organised, detail-driven, and able to prioritise effectively.
* Collaborative, client-focused, and commercially minded.
* Good IT skills, including case management systems.
