The Role The Production Planner will take ownership of daily and weekly production planning activities. You will be responsible for delivering a robust schedule that balances customer demand, labour utilisation, stock levels, and factory efficiency. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate daily production schedules across all product lines, ensuring resources are efficiently planned. Build short-term and weekly plans that align customer orders with stock targets and operational capacity. Issue clear hourly, daily, and weekly schedules to relevant teams, ensuring full visibility of upcoming production priorities. Optimise labour and machine utilisation, reducing unnecessary changeovers while maintaining high service levels. Own the creation, maintenance, and communication of factory production plans to internal stakeholders. Ensure products are planned with sufficient lead time for dispatch, meeting all customer-specific loading and delivery requirements. Maintain accurate forecasts and records for all stock items to support effective decision-making. Liaise directly with customers regarding product availability, highlighting any potential shortages or surplus stock. What You'll Need Previous experience within production planning or a similar scheduling role (2 years) Strong organisational and analytical capability with excellent attention to detail. Confident in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
