About the Role
We’re seeking a Lead Test Automation Engineer/ Staff Engineer to drive modern QA practices aligned with cutting‑edge software engineering. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you’ll mentor QA engineers, champion automation best practices, and ensure high standards of reliability, scalability, and performance across our frontend and backend‑for‑frontend (BFF) solutions.
You’ll work with tools such as Playwright, Mockoon, Bruno, Artillery, and more, leveraging a DevSecOps mindset to deliver quality through automation and CI/CD pipelines. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, influencing engineering decisions and shaping QA strategies.
* Act as a technical lead for initiatives
* Mentor and coach engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and consistency.
* Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for microservices, APIs, and web applications.
* Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback.
* Drive a shift‑left approach, ensuring early and comprehensive testing.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
* Monitor and report on quality metrics, using data to improve processes.
* Contribute to Agile ceremonies and engineering governance.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience with automation frameworks and tools Playwright, Artillery, RestAssured.
* Expertise in testing methodologies: unit, integration, system, performance, and security.
* Experience in CI/CD environments.
* Solid understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and modern frontend frameworks.
* Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
* ISTQB Foundation Certificate (or equivalent); Advanced Test Automation Engineer certification desirable.
