Venesky-Browns client, a Public Sector Organisation in Dalkeith, is currently looking to recruit Porters / Warehouse Operatives for a 1 month contract on a rate of £14.19 per/hour (PAYE), however this may be extended by up to a month. The work will start at the end of April and the working hours will initially be 8:30am-6pm. There will also be overtime involved plus Saturday and Sunday shifts. Overtime is paid at time and a half after 35 hours and double time on a Sunday. Responsibilities : Event preparation Manual handling and layout of materials for event. Assist with the collation and packing of all items requiring despatch. Ensure these activities are carried our accurately and according to the time frame given. Organise collate and distribute material to internal and external customers. Undertake accurate filing and storage of paperwork. Retrieval of stored paperwork Checking, organising, moving and handling of stationery and materials. Maintain a tidy work area and comply with all Health and Safety regulations. Essential Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to understand written and verbal communications. Basic numerical abilities. Attention to detail. Flexible working approach. Ability to work on own as well as part of a team. There is a daily requirement to undertake manual handling including heavy lifting and pallet movement.
