The Role
:
● Assist the Consulting business by using their engagement data to provide a commercial position to assess project performance against approved targets
● Extract, analyse and challenge data, where appropriate, to aid profitability analysis, decision making and instill best practice
● Provide recommendations and insight into ways to improve project profitability and minimise engagement margin leakage
● Promote and develop the commercial tools to optimise commercial coverage and enhance the profitability of the business
● Support leadership with commercial MI to drive and improve overall performance
● Work alongside other teams to support the commercial strategy and compliance with Firmwide policy
The individual:
Will have strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for detail and experience in leveraging insights to identify and shape commercial strategies to optimise profitability. Good coaching skills will be advantageous to promote commercial awareness and provide client teams with an understanding of how their decisions impact profitability.
Essential Requirements:
1. Commercial skills and experience are preferred. Experience with commercial and project management, understanding of finance principles and project delivery lifecycles
2. Strong financial, business and commercial acumen with stakeholder engagement and management skills. Analyse and interpret complex data to provide useful insights that provide opportunities for improvement
3. Strong analytical foundations, highly numerate and the ability to problem solve. Manage multiple work assignments simultaneously alongside multiple or conflicting priorities
4. Work efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure working environment. Present and communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively through both verbal and written forms
5. Challenge others to mitigate ineffective commercial decisions. Drive interactions with stakeholders that quickly build trust
6. Ability to quickly grasp new commercial models and identify key value drivers, critical assumptions and improvement opportunities. Confidence to challenge senior stakeholders with data-driven insights
