About Our Client
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, all-round role and wants to be embedded in the day-to-day running of a business. Reporting directly into senior leadership (non-finance), you'll play a key role in ensuring financial control, supporting decision-making, and improving processes across the function for a great business based in Flintshire.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
3. Full responsibility for day-to-day finance operations
4. Production of monthly management accounts
5. Managing purchase & sales ledger, including invoicing and payments
6. Payroll processing (weekly/monthly)
7. Bank reconciliations and cashflow monitoring
8. Preparation and submission of VAT returns
9. Supporting year-end and audit processes
10. Handling foreign exchange transactions where required
11. Opportunity to review and improve existing processes and systems
The Successful Applicant
The successful Finance Manager should be:
12. Experienced in a well-rounded finance role (ideally within manufacturing or SME environment)
13. Comfortable managing the full finance function independently
14. Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel
15. Confident producing management accounts and handling VAT
16. Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
