Are you a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner with a passion for supporting the mental wellbeing of young people? We are looking for EMHPs to work directly in schools and colleges, delivering evidence‑based interventions and supporting staff and students across the education system.
Main duties
* Deliver one‑to‑one and group CBT‑informed interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
* Assist children and young people with more severe problems in promptly accessing specialist services.
* Support and mentor education staff in recognising and managing mental health and wellbeing issues.
* Develop and deliver training, workshops and creative interventions for staff, parents and students.
* Mentor trainee EMHPs and provide peer support to other qualified practitioners.
* Travel independently across designated localities as required.

Qualifications
* Successful completion of the HEE‑commissioned 1‑year Post Graduate Certificate ‘Education Mental Health Practitioner’ (EMHP) course.
* Desirable: A further relevant degree and/or additional training relevant to the post.
Experience
* Experience working as an EMHP within an education setting.
* Experience liaising with a variety of agencies and stakeholders.
* Desirable: Experience with children and families in both healthcare and education contexts.
Skills and Competency
* Ability to conduct 1‑to‑1 therapeutic interventions and group parenting programmes.
* Capability to deliver mental health interventions for families and children.
* Skill in teaching staff about mental health issues.
* Desirable: Experience delivering other group therapeutic interventions.
Working Arrangements
Permanent, full‑time position. Flexible working and compressed hours are available.
