Overview
This is a full‑time, permanent role within a growing and thriving CAMHS eating disorders day unit and outpatient service. Experienced Occupational Therapists who are passionate about making a difference for children, young people and families are invited to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, highly specialist Occupational Therapy within the children’s and young people’s eating disorder service at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary community teams, liaising with other Occupational Therapists, clinicians and community‑based services as required.
* Lead on OT matters including clinical prioritisation, organisation, delivery and further development of occupational therapy provision across the expanding service.
* Ensure that the longer‑term needs of clients and their carers are met through a well‑coordinated, specialist, efficient and effective service.
* Play a role in local strategic development of the ARFID provision and contribute to service innovation, evaluation, improvement and research.
* Support the team leader, clinical and professional leads with delegated parts of service improvement projects and audits.
* Supervise and support designated staff.
Qualifications
* Experience as an Occupational Therapist in a mental health setting, particularly with children and families.
* High level of clinical and professional expertise.
* Knowledge of sensory integration theory and approaches, or a commitment to gain this through available training.
* Commitment to work within the full eating disorder pathway (CAMHS out‑patient, intensive outreach and ARFID).
