Responsibilities
1. Support the management and reporting of professional liability claims
2. Draft responses to clientplaints and liaise with the Legal Ombudsman
3. Investigate claims and manage simpler disputes independently; liaise with external counsel on moreplex matters
4. Trackplaint and claims deadlines, ensuring timely resolution
5. Assist with insurance notifications and renewals across PI and non-PI risks
6. Provide input into internal and regulatory investigations
7. Support on wider contentious matters including supplier disputes
8. Ensurepliance with SRA Standards and other regulatory obligations
Candidate Requirements
9. UK qualified solicitor with 5-7+ years' post-qualification experience in civilmercial litigation
10. Experience in professional negligence, ideally including claims against law firms
11. Knowledge of insurance coverage matters is advantageous
12. Background may be from private practice or in-house (legal risk or general counsel's office)
13. Able to manage matters autonomously, with sound judgement andmunication skills
14. Adaptable, pragmatic and resilient, with the ability to work effectively in a high-performing team
15. Previous experience in a large City or international law firm is desirable
