Airfreight Operations Specialist

Location - Burnham, Slough | Office-Based
Salary - £35,000 - £36,000 per annual

Hours - 9am - 17:30pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch

We are currently seeking an Airfreight Operations Specialist to join our clients growing logistics team based in Burnham, Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated freight professional with strong operational knowledge and experience managing end-to-end airfreight shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage airfreight shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Prepare and issue customer quotations
• Arrange transport and coordinate logistics efficiently
• Handle airline bookings and liaise directly with carriers
• Complete and process customs entries accurately
• Prepare and complete Air Waybills (AWBs) and all associated documentation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant freight and dangerous goods regulations
• Maintain excellent communication with customers, agents, and suppliers

Requirements

• Airfreight operations experience desirable
• Strong understanding of end-to-end freight forwarding processes
• Experience handling customs procedures and documentation
• Proven experience preparing Air Waybills (AWBs)
• Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment
