At RFIDentikit, our mission is to deliver seamless accreditation, security, tracking, and management tools to event organizers worldwide by developing and deploying flexible, powerful, and dependable technology solutions.
The Project Technician plays a central role in the services we provide to our clients. You will utilize your coding and customer service skills to build environments that enable clients to manage their events in compliance with security and access standards. Collaboration with clients and team members is essential to meet high standards of service.
You will work within a team of project staff, constructing event environments and maintaining ongoing client communication. Our Project Technicians are the face of RFIDentikit on-site and from our offices globally.
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager oversees the entire project, ensuring its success from start to finish.
Collaborating with the Projects team and management, you will engage with clients from project initiation, understanding their needs and fulfilling the project brief efficiently using available resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary
1. Lead the delivery of live event management builds, including scope, budget, staffing, and construction.
2. Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to foster business growth.
3. Prepare and update quotes and contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Manage equipment inventory and order consumables as needed.
5. Coordinate project tasks, assign responsibilities to Project Technicians, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
6. Communicate regularly via video calls and emails with clients, offering expert advice and configuration assistance.
7. Mentor team members and influence operational strategies.
8. Log and assign tasks in Jira, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely completion.
9. Involve Project Technicians in client meetings and event setup to support their development.
10. Oversee configuration of bespoke event management software and assets, promoting best practices.
11. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues, clients, and on-site staff.
Secondary
1. Proactively mentor team members, providing meaningful feedback to management.
2. Collaborate with other project managers and senior staff to refine processes and training programs.
3. Work with sales teams on new projects, managing timelines and ensuring high-quality customer service.
4. Contribute to strategic planning and staffing decisions.
5. Coordinate project teams, motivating staff and ensuring productivity.
6. Drive continuous improvement within the department.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Required
* Minimum of 2 years project management experience, preferably in live events.
* Experience with Web responsive HTML, CSS, JavaScript (commercial experience preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Jira.
* Background in live events.
Desirable
* Experience working on-site at live events.
* Knowledge of jQuery, React, Bootstrap, MySQL.
