Overview
A dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant role in a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Middleton, providing support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classroom learning and individual development.
Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the curriculum
* Provide small-group and 1:1 interventions to help pupils make progress in literacy, numeracy, and social skills
* Adapt learning activities to suit the needs of individual pupils, promoting participation and confidence
* Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive, stimulating learning environment
* Work collaboratively with the SENDCo and teaching staff to implement tailored support strategies where needed
* Contribute to assessments, progress tracking, and pupil reports as part of the wider school team
* Support with preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
Qualifications
* Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or Education (essential)
* Experience working in a primary school setting (EYFS, KS1, or KS2)
* A warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to use initiative and remain proactive
* Understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
* A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential
