About the Role
Quest Global is seeking an experienced HSE & Production Standards Lead to take a hands-on role driving Health, Safety & Environmental performance, raising operational standards, and ensuring audit findings are effectively implemented across production and overhaul operations. This role is central to supporting the site leadership team through a period of operational improvement and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead HSE Standards by championing and reinforcing customer HSE standards across rail production and overhaul activities.
* Act as the key point of contact for site safety, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of issues.
* Drive delivery of safety improvement actions, including training, onboarding processes, and safety topic enhancements.
* Operational Excellence & Audit Implementation: Translate internal and external audit findings into clear action plans, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
* Support cultural and leadership initiatives to embed high safety and production standards.
* Coordinate and track actions across leadership, production teams, and logistics to ensure progress and accountability.
* Action Plan Delivery – based on the current production improvement action plan, typical workstreams include: production facility presence to drive standards; implementing findings of recent working at height and noise audits; implementing safety improvements highlighted from the continuous improvement plan; supporting leadership commitment to daily shop-floor engagement and production stand-ups; enhancing training and onboarding, including developing safety training roadmaps.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with site leadership and functions including logistics, training, and CI.
Provide clear updates on progress, blockers, and next steps to leadership forums.
Qualifications
* Proven experience leading HSE and operational improvement in a rail, heavy engineering, or complex manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of production operations, overhaul processes, and safety management systems.
* Demonstrated ability to turn audit findings into action, with a focus on sustainable change.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at all levels.
* Structured and disciplined approach to action tracking and follow-through.
* NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification preferred.
