Sous Chef
Location: Home Garth House, Tower Hill Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 2AY. 39 beds, Nursing, Residential & Dementia care Home. CQC Rating: Good, Rated 9.4 on Carehome.co.uk.
Working Hours and Shift Times
31.5 hours per week. Shifts: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (including every other weekend). Pay: £14.55 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents using best ingredients.
* Lead by example and showcase high-level hospitality.
* Mentor kitchen staff through a supported induction and Chef academy progress.
* Ensure technical skills required in healthcare are applied.
* Maintain straight shifts with no evenings.
Qualifications & Skills
* Highly skilled culinary experience; proficiency in creating nutritious meals.
* Leadership experience or ability to lead by example.
* Strong creativity and flair for hospitality.
* Growth mindset, empathy, respectfulness.
* Experience in a care or residential setting preferred.
