WR Construction Services is looking for Carpenters to start in Southampton.
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Carpenter. This role requires a strong background in various construction and fabrication tasks, with an emphasis on practical skills and hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a range of tools and materials, demonstrating proficiency in both individual and team-based projects.
Duties
* Execute fabrication and assembly tasks with precision, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction projects.
* Perform carpentry and joinery tasks, including the installation of fixtures and fittings.
* Engage in roofing activities, ensuring structural integrity and safety standards are met.
* Conduct heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Participate in construction painting, providing finishing touches to enhance project aesthetics.
* Assist with plumbing installations and repairs, demonstrating basic plumbing skills.
* Undertake masonry work as needed, including bricklaying and stone setting.
* Apply electrical experience where applicable, assisting in installations or repairs under supervision.
Experience
Candidates should possess a solid background in construction-related fields, showcasing the following skills:
* Proven experience in fabrication and assembly processes.
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their safe operation.
* Demonstrated skills in carpentry and joinery techniques.
* Experience in roofing practices is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Knowledge of construction painting methods is preferred.
* Basic plumbing skills are beneficial for this role.
* Experience in masonry work is a plus.
