Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing and baking a variety of baked products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
* Support the food preparation process by measuring ingredients and following recipes accurately.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and other kitchen appliances.
* Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before packaging or presentation.
* Support stock management by organising ingredients and supplies, and notifying management of inventory needs.
* Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Experience
* Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
* Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous.
* Knowledge of baking techniques and culinary practices is preferred.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is beneficial.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
