Our well established client, a local pub group are looking for a management couple/team for a large traditional community public house with a 40-cover restaurant and separate function venue .This is an opportunity to drive and develop a healthy and successful business that is backed by an experienced support system, giving the opportunity to excel in driving the business forward to further success. Reporting directly into the company’s Directors you will operate and care for the business as if it were your own. They have an excellent Kitchen Team, so you will not be needed in the kitchen cooking! With your focus being front of house guest service and business building. The pub has a team of around 15 employees that will rely on you to lead them, inspire them and work with them during peak times to achieve high standards of service. In order to be successful, you will need to be a natural host, out there with the employees motivated and supporting them to be the best they can be with a focus on excellent guest service. The pub has a very healthy level of trade and reputation built upon two decades worth of commitment and hard-work from the couple leaving for pastures new (far afield). Much of the success has come from recruiting the right team members, ensuring high standards of venue presentation, excellent service standards, attention to detail, arranging a plethora of events and trade generating activities and a significant effort to become and remain a hub of the local community of Patcham, on the outskirts of Brighton. There is a strong family-led community in the area, with several well-regarded schools in the close vicinity. This position is Live-In and the pub benefits from a large 3-bedroom first floor flat with external access. The Ideal Candidates: • Strong leadership skills, be a real team player who thrives on motivation and empowering their team. • You will have experience in running busy operations, overseeing large teams, and maintaining high standards across all areas of the business. • it is essential that you are commercially minded and have a strong financial background. • Proven experience in delivering business growth, budgets, staff retention. • The ability to oversee operations that involve a high demand kitchen.
