Your role: The Senior Business Support Officer role ensures the business support officers are equipped to meet the demands of adult social care customers, both public and professional. You will provide daily oversight and support to the team ensuring that excellent customer service is delivered over the telephone and that customer queries are dealt with promptly and in line with service delivery processes. You will ensure that the needs of the service are responded to flexibly and efficiently and that data and reports are analysed and produced to support service priorities and demands. You will provide supervision, development opportunities to business support officers within the locality teams. You will also ensure you operate within GDPR guidelines by regularly reviewing date held and destroying information in line with retention schedules. About you: In this role you must demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of the role, remit and purpose of adult social care. Have extensive administration experience. You must demonstrate an extensive knowledge base of Wigan Council s electronic, HR and finance systems. Experience of training staff in the use of IT systems and processes. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work flexibly and creativity when faced with challenges within the team.
