Dakota Hotel based in Newcastle are seeking a r eliable and ha r d-wo r king individual to join ou r Housekeeping Team in the r ole of R oom Atten dant. We are a brand-new, stylish hotel, i deally situated on the Quayside, our hotel boasts 118 bedrooms including 33 suites. Dakota Newcastle hosts our renowned Bar & Grill, Champagne Room, Cigar Terrace, and an events space for up to 60. CONTRACT AND PAY RATE Earnings are £12.50 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £11,700. The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 18 hours per week and typical shifts will be working a minimun of any 3 days out of 7. This role will include working weekends. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES To tho r oughly deep clean guest bed r oom s and en-suite bath r oom s, making beds, and detailing to p r ovide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space. Be able to ca r r y out tasks such as vacuum cleaning, dusting and polishing, mopping, and lifting items such as duvets. Action notes on guest p r efe r ences and r equests to pe r sonalize guest stays e.g. p r ovide fi r m pillows, setting up a cot. Maintain a comp r ehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and usage of cleaning equipment such as steame r s. Follow health and safety p r ocedu r es closely at all times such as those pe r taining to the handling of waste and manual handling. You will wo r k alone in guest bed r oom s and the r efo r e must be able to be self-d r iven and wo r k at pace. Have a keen eye fo r detail when cleaning. Able to be p r oactive and wo r k at pace.
