Workshop and field engineer

Position: Workshop and Field Engineer Job ID: Location: Essex Rate/Salary: Up To £38,000 / £42,000 plus overtime Type: Permanent / Full Time HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Fire & Security sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas. 95% of this person's time will be focussed on repairs and overhauls of engines within a workshop, the following 5% will be travelling to customer sites to repair and overhaul of engines on site (land based / marine engines). Typically, this person will come from either a current workshop-based position from the Marine, HGV or Agricultural industry, or a field service engineer wanting to have more face time / more workshop time, or a sea going engineer looking to come shore side. HSB Technical's client is a very established and well-regarded business entity. Duties and responsibilities of the Workshop and Field Engineer: Working in the workshop, you will: Take receipt of engines and ensure safe unloading/placement Overhaul engines or spare parts Report writing and feeding back to site management on any faults found Rebuild of engines ensuring the engines are rebuilt to the right tolerances Working in the field you will: Visit customer sites representing the business Either: Service, Repair, Maintain or Overhaul the engine Report writing and feeding back to site management on any faults found Qualifications and requirement for the Workshop and Field Engineer: Full UK Driving Licence Passport This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role.
