Adi Facilities Engineering Maintenance Electrician
Location – Towcester, Northamptonshire
About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Electrician, your responsibilities will include supporting non-core electrical engineering and facilities services on-site. You will be tasked with maintaining the electrical safety, integrity, and compliance of site-based facilities, plants, equipment, and infrastructure in accordance with current regulations. This position requires you to work on-site from Monday to Friday.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
* Serve as the Electrical Duty Holder for the site on behalf of adi Facilities Engineering.
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and site infrastructure regularly.
* Perform installation, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and facilities across the site.
* Conduct planned maintenance and repairs as needed.
* Respond promptly to emergency incidents and assist as required.
* Undertake additional duties related to facilities work, projects, and events.
* Promote continuous improvement in electrical work and service delivery.
* Ensure electrical systems are safe and compliant with current regulations.
* Communicate effectively regarding electrical issues and solutions.
* Interpret electrical drawings and manuals for installation and maintenance.
* Use testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair.
* Utilise a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) for maintenance tracking.
* Improve Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) practices and schedules.
* Support root cause analysis to enhance equipment efficiency and safety.
* Be available for on-call duties and cover colleagues during absences.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
* Contribute to minor projects and supervise subcontractors as needed.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* Proven experience in an electrical maintenance role, preferably in the FMCG sector, with knowledge and experience of manufacturing environments.
* Installation competence with a Level 2 & 3, or an equivalent recognized apprenticeship.
* Capable of identifying and managing minor works.
* Skilled in facilities and utility services.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and Permit to Work procedures.
* Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and manage service teams independently.
