Gleeds has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager who is NEC accredited to join our team in Birmingham. The Senior Project Manager, responsible for managing the delivery of project management and programme management services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
2. Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships
3. Delivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our Customer’s requirements.
4. Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures
5. Administering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project manager
6. Producing and presenting to customers
7. Mentoring and coaching employees so that they realise their full potential
8. Preparing bids for services.
9. Managing service delivery for profit
10. Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance

About You
Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
16. Sound project management experience post qualification. Defence Sector experience preferred
17. NEC accredited
18. Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
19. Able to obtain a security clearance
20. Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager
21. Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
22. Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
23. Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
24. Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
25. Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
26. Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
27. Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams.
28. Willing to occasionally travel to client facilities approx. 1.5 / 2 hours travel time from the Midlands
Qualifications
29. MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or
30. MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers) or
31. MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)
