We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy warehouse in Bury St. Edmunds. This role is crucial in managing a small but fast-paced team, ensuring smooth workflows, maintaining high levels of accuracy, and promoting a safe working environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a small warehouse team.
* Manage goods inwards and outwards, stock control, and accurate record keeping.
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures.
* Work closely with other departments to support production and distribution requirements.
* Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
* Oversee the returns process and internal warranty procedures.
* Operate warehouse equipment and provide hands-on support when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
* Experience working with ERP systems.
* Strong leadership and people-management skills.
* Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Forklift licence (essential); articulated forklift experience preferred.
* Good working knowledge of warehouse operations and health & safety standards.
* Annual bonus based on company profits.
* Monday to Friday daytime hours (9:00am – 5:00pm).
