GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and understanding SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a vibrant school based in Hove. As an SEN TA, you will assist in meeting the learning and emotional needs of pupils with special educational needs. This full-time, long-term opportunity begins in September and is ideal for someone committed to inclusive education and passionate about helping learners succeed.
Key Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Deliver one-to-one and small group support for students with a variety of SEN.
* Collaborate with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans.
* Encourage student participation and engagement during lessons.
* Help manage classroom behaviour using a calm and constructive approach.
* Contribute to the tracking of pupil progress and ongoing communication with staff and families.
Essential Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is advantageous.
* Ability to demonstrate patience, resilience, and empathy in your support.
* Confident communicator with a team-focused attitude.
* Full CV covering the last 10 years, with explained gaps.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
