Essex Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA)

Join Essex Police as a police officer and start with a salary of £32,907 (including a £3,000 South East allowance). The salary increases annually, reaching up to £51,231 within seven years, along with other benefits.
To join the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), you must meet the eligibility criteria and pass an online assessment. For more details, visit the College of Policing website. You must also:
* Have a GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or level 4 or above,
* Achieve or be working towards two Level 3 qualifications with a minimum grade C or above (e.g., two A-levels or equivalent to UCAS points of 64+). Check qualification recognition at the register of regulated qualifications website. Candidates applying pending completion of these qualifications must complete them by the end of the current academic year.
If you do not hold these qualifications, you may still apply if you possess other qualifications or experience, but you will undergo additional assessments during recruitment. Find out about support available for study skills and education support.
Entry requirements for PCDA
* 32-63 UCAS points from 2 A-Levels or equivalent,
* GCSE Grade C or level 4 in Maths and English and under 32 UCAS points or no Level 3 qualification,
* Members of Essex police staff, PCSOs, or special constables who have passed their probationary period,
* Minimum of 4 years’ service with the armed forces with an exemplary discharge reference,
* Individuals with no Maths and English GCSE and under 32 UCAS points or no Level 3 qualification, but with at least four years’ armed forces service.
*If the police officer entry route becomes oversubscribed, adjustments may be made to your entry route based on your eligibility to secure your joining date. We will contact you if this occurs.

All roles require vetting and security clearance. During recruitment, you will receive vetting forms to complete.
