This new part-time (0.6 FTE) post is immediately available on a term basis until 31 July 2027 in DClinPGR, Psychology.

Summary of the role

The Faculty wishes to recruit a part-time (0.6 FTE) Clinical Tutor for the DClinPsy PGR Doctoral Training Programme in Clinical Psychology, (part of the DClinPGR portfolio of Programmes) based within the Department of Psychology at the University of Exeter. We are open to receiving applications from those interested in working less hours on a job share basis.

The main role for the successful candidate will be to support the Clinical Practice Director in planning and delivering on the clinical practice elements of the DClinPsy Programme. This will include the organisation, monitoring and development on the placement of trainees in Somerset. We are open to receiving applications from those interested in working less hours on a job share basis.

Exeter has been training clinical psychologists for over 40 years, and the course has strong links with local NHS Trusts and third sector services. About you

For a Lecturer Clinical Tutor post you will:

* Possess a post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS and giving eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychology registration. They will also be HCPC registered.
* Be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development as recommended by the BPS and have experience of supervising clinical psychology trainees.
* Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students;
* Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities;
* Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
