About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Village Manager or a senior operational leader to guide our team and residents through an exciting period of business growth.
As Village Manager, you’ll be the trusted face of Ōtau Ridge Village in Clevedon, Auckland. You will lead day-to-day operations across both the Village and Care Home, supporting our people, and ensuring residents enjoy a safe, engaging and well-run environment. Your ability to build relationships, communicate clearly and keep residents at the heart of decision-making will be key to your success.
At Metlifecare, our villages are vibrant communities where residents feel connected, supported and proud to call home. Ōtau Ridge Village, in Clevedon, is no exception. This is a brand new Village with new Villas and Care Suites.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:
4. Provide strong, visible leadership across the Village and Care Home
5. Work closely with residents, families and teams
6. Play an active role in driving sales and business growth
7. Support a positive culture where communication is open, timely and respectful
8. Maintain solid financial performance including P&L management and sales focus
9. Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and service delivery
10. Champion quality, safety and wellbeing for residents and staff

Your Experience Includes:
11. Proven leadership in retirement village management (highly regarded)
12. Operational management expertise in a people or service-focused business
13. Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with a natural ability to influence, collaborate, and engage, including responsiveness and follow-through
14. A commitment to operational excellence with strong process, systems, and quality improvement capability
15. Financial acumen including sales focus and P&L ownership
16. Strategic thinking with a flair for innovation
17. Risk management experience, including health & safety and wellbeing
