Defined Benefit Pension Calculation Analyst - Insurance
We are currently recruiting for a Pension Calculation Analyst with strong Defined Benefit experience to join one of our Global Insurance Clients on a 6 month contract.
Please note the role is Inside IR35 and The role can be fully remote working.
Responsibilities:
1. Analysing business requirements, Trust Deed and Rules and other scheme documentation and planning an appropriate software solution with a focus on accuracy, build efficiency and maintainability.
2. Interact with third parties such as the scheme actuary and solicitors to clarify complex and technical queries.
3. Completing given tasks in a timely fashion including managing deadlines appropriately..
4. Alongside other analysts produce detailed calculation proforma from first principles and supporting automation test packs.
5. Work towards developing and optimizing end to end automation.
6. Build on technical expertise/capabilities/skills and contribute towards measurable improvements.
7. Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and single team culture to increase end to end automation efficiencies and results.
Experience required:
8. Background in UK occupational pensions specifically Defined Benefits
9. Adeptness at learning new technology and tools.
10. Working knowledge of MS Excel & Word.
11. Some knowledge of Unix-based operating systems, use of the command line and SQL is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
12. Strong knowledge of Contracting Out Requirements such as GMP
13. Strong Defined Benefit Knowledge, including historical knowledge of UK Pensions Legislation.
