Job Description
Costain is collaborating with Anglian Water on their new Reservoirs Programme to support the development of two large reservoirs through DCO (Government Approval). We are primarily acting as Anglian Water's Principal Contractor under CDM for extensive site investigation works and offer excellent opportunities for individuals to join our growing delivery team. The work will mainly be across Sleaford (Lincolnshire), Chatteris (Cambridgeshire), and Peterborough.
This programme is separate from the main Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) programme.
We have a site compound at each reservoir location.

Responsibilities
1. Communicate effectively with Key Alliance partners and subcontractors.
2. Lead the establishment of the site and oversee the overall delivery of the project, supporting the team and management as needed.
3. Collaborate efficiently with other members of the delivery team to support their roles.
4. Engage with stakeholders and third parties (landowners, etc.) effectively.
5. Maintain accurate site records, identify variances or issues, and provide feedback to line managers.
6. Assist in project design coordination and distribution of relevant documentation.
7. Manage site-specific responsibilities, such as permits to work, as determined at the project level.
8. Plan and procure materials and plant required for on-site works, ensuring efficient use and stock management, and report issues promptly.
9. Manage direct reports, review their performance, duties, and support their development.
10. Monitor and promote SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) performance, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Degree or HNC qualification in a relevant engineering subject.
* Understanding of engineering principles.
* Knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
* Some experience in civil or M&E construction.
* Experience in Design Management.
* Opportunities available for frontline and project support roles.
* Relevant CSCS card.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and document control systems.
* Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
* Valid driving license.
