Overview:
This is an opportunity to work in a planning role within our manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring both short and medium term production plans. This will also include planning to agreed forecasts working within capacity constraints and stocking levels.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a candidate who is well organised, works well under pressure and has a drive for results. Prior planning experience is not essential but would be an advantage, as would experience of a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities & accountability
1. Create weekly and daily production plans in line with customer expectations whilst maximising site efficiencies and maintaining key site performance indicators.
Update daily KPI trackers and spread sheets and communicate.
2. Ensure all relevant departments are informed of any non-conformance to plan.
3. To analyse any reasons for OTIF failure and find root cause.
4. Process customer orders; acknowledge receipt of orders with expected delivery dates.
5. Maintain manufactured base levels in line with foiling requirements.
6. Manage NPI / OPO, maintaining plans and input sheets.
7. To provide ad-hoc analysis of sales and operational data to all areas of the business when required.
8. To complete weekly, period end foil stock takes.
9. To establish relationships with the warehouse and sales teams.
Key Skills
10. IT skills including a high level of competency with Excel, word and access
11. Knowledge and experience of Navision desirable but not essential
12. Planning experience within a manufacturing environment
13. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
14. Proactive approach to colleagues and customer needs
15. Must be flexible and have the ability to prioritise
16. Organised approach to work
17. Proven problem solver with good analytical skills.
