Job Overview
An exciting opportunity within the Pharmacy department for an enthusiastic and motivated assistant to join our busy team. The role involves working within the Main Inpatient Dispensary and Pharmacy Stores.
Responsibilities
* Dispense inpatient prescriptions in the Inpatient Dispensary.
* Prepare out-of-hours kits and provide cover for the reception area when required.
* Receive goods from suppliers and load the robot; supply stock to wards and departments.
* Assist with receipt and storage of goods, daily distribution and archiving of worksheets and picking notes.
* Carry out daily stock takes and expiry checking of drugs and disposables.
* Deliver medicines securely to wards and departments, including controlled drugs.
* Assist with ordering, receiving and distribution of IV and bulk fluids.
* Accurately dispense and deliver pharmaceuticals from the inpatient dispensary and assist with archiving prescriptions and worksheets.
Qualifications
* Desirable: GCSE Maths and English (Grade A to C) or equivalent qualification.
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
Knowledge and Experience (Essential)
* Stores and distribution experience.
* Dispensary experience.
* Customer service experience.
* Previous work in stock control.
