Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Mobile PSV/HGV Mechanicfor our client based in Wednesbury.
We are looking for a qualified and hard-working Mobile PSV/HGV Mechanicto join the team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of PSV and HGV vehicles as well as Diesel engines used in various applications. The goal is to ensure that all vehicles are operating safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legal regulations and industry standards.

Salary: £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
Duties of a Mobile PSV/HGV Mechanic will include:
Performing routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on PSVs in line with company and manufacturer guidelines, focusing on Diesel engines
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Ensuring all vehicles meet DVSA and company safety standards and compliance
Carrying out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of vehicles
Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent
Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and performing inspections to the required standards
Applying troubleshooting and advanced mechanical skills to address vehicle issues
Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times
Collaborating with colleagues and management to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow, while delivering high-quality service
In order to be considered for the role of a Mobile PSV/HGV Mechanic:
NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, City & Guilds, or equivalent
Previous experience working with Cummins or similar diesel engines, with the ability to fully overhaul engines
Proven experience as a PSV or HGV Mechanic/Technician
Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A valid UK driving license
A solid understanding of DVSA compliance and safety regulations
Hours of Work: 8am 4.30pm Monday to Friday (Overtime available)
