Job objectives and responsibilities
1. Carry out cleaning duties to deliver the cleaning contract at a high profile nuclear licensed site
2. Must be able to satisfy security clearance required
3. DV clearance must be applied for and to successfully maintain this position S/C clearance must be obtained
4. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.
5. To undertake successfully all training required to deliver the House-keeping role at AWE
6. Individuals will be required to work within a team or have the ability to work under their own initiative.
Main duties
7. To maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevant SLA's, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
8. Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard
9. To ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order, i.e. PAT Tested, etc.
10. To have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
11. To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie at AWE and to attend all necessary training to fulfil this requirement.
12. To comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislations and AWE policies.
13. To be aware of material expenditure and avoid unnecessary waste.
14. To report any maintenance defects to the Cleaning Supervisor.
15. To understand and observe Mitie and AWE site rules at all times.
16. To observe all Company and Client statutory fire and safety regulations and to promote good safety habits and methods of work.
17. To deal with any complaints that fall within the job holder's duties and report these immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor.
18. To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business and as directed by the Line Manager.

20. To fully participate in all Mitie/AWE training required to deliver the contact at AWE
21. To build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivering excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations
22. Flexible approach for ad hoc tasks, and to assist colleagues and other teams as and when required.
To ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained and to give particular attention to hands/finger nails, hair care and general appearance. Shoes must be fully covered with tread and appropriate for the requirements of the role.

23. Full time posts, 9 day fortnight rota, Mon – Fri week 1 & Mon - Thurs week 2
24. Be self-driven and determined

27. Successfully complete House-keeping competencies every days and ensure continued compliance
28. Must fall into the required shift pattern as deemed suitable to meet Contractual requirements
29. Maintain any records as requested by manager/Mitie procedure: Cleaning check sheets and machinery check sheets
