Multi-Skills Lecturer• Annual Salary: £34,492 - £41,140• Location: Northampton• Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)
We are seeking a dedicated multi-skills Lecturer to join our client’s team. This role involves teaching, training, and managing courses in construction and related disciplines, ensuring high-quality standards that meet the college's objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:• Teach students across full-time, part-time, and short courses as directed.• Act as a course tutor, managing the organisation, administration, and monitoring of student attendance and course evaluations.• Provide tutoring and maintain records of achievement, including undertaking placement visits.• Counsel students, maintain discipline, and participate in student recruitment activities, such as attending shows and career conventions.• Engage in curriculum development to meet changing industrial demands and college planning.• Conduct demonstrations and practical activities with students on all courses.• Participate in internal verification and auditing processes to ensure exemplary service and attention to all learners.• Efficiently complete administrative procedures, maintain statutory and internal records, and manage asset registers.• Assist in the maintenance and sustainable development of resources and commercial activities.• Attend meetings and courses beneficial to the college and personal development.• Promote and adhere to the college’s safeguarding, health & safety policies, and procedures.• Manage student conduct and promote the welfare of young people and vulnerable groups.• Actively promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within the college environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Proven experience in teaching and managing construction-based courses.• Strong organisational and administrative skills.• Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.• Commitment to continuous professional development and curriculum innovation.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Adherence to college values and policies, including safeguarding and health & safety.
