A growing engineering business is looking to bring a Sales Administrator into its team to support the rising demand for installation projects across the UK. The company works with various industrial and manufacturing clients, providing a variety of workshop engineering products. With continued investment and new contracts coming in, the team now needs an organised and detail-minded person to take ownership of the quotations process. The Role This position sits at the heart of the sales and project workflow. You’ll be responsible for preparing clear, accurate quotations based on site information and engineer reports, and making sure clients receive everything they need in a professional and timely way. You’ll work closely with engineering, project management and senior colleagues, so it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys being the link between teams and keeping things running smoothly. The job is office-based and plays a key role in supporting installation work from the first client enquiry through to handover to the project team. What You’ll Be Doing * Putting together detailed quotations for engineering installation jobs * Checking technical and commercial details with internal teams before issuing quotes * Managing incoming requests and keeping turnaround times tight * Updating price lists, costings and supplier information * Tracking the progress of quotes and following up where needed * Creating supporting documents such as scopes of work, datasheets and compliance notes * Assisting with order processing once a quotation is accepted * Handling general admin tasks, CRM updates and customer queries What We’re Looking For * Solid admin or sales support background – ideally from engineering, construction or a technical environment, but all strong administrators considered * Great attention to detail and comfortable working with numbers * Confident with Microsoft Office and able to learn internal systems * Clear and professional communication skills * Organised, methodical and able to juggle multiple tasks * Comfortable picking up basic technical info (training provided) It Would Be a Bonus If You Have: * Experience producing quotes or proposals * Familiarity with industrial, manufacturing or workshop equipment or similar products * Experience working with CRM or quotation tools Location Office-based at the company’s main site In Glasgow. Very occasional customer or site visits may come up.
