Our client, a leading education provider in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-time Outreach SEMH Tutor to support secondary school students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Key responsibilities of the Full-time Outreach SEMH Tutor include:
* Assessing and identifying the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties
* Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with students, families, and school staff
* Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being
* Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students, adapting support plans as necessary
* Providing guidance and advice to school staff and families on strategies to support students with SEMH needs
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation of interventions and progress
* Collaborating with external agencies and professionals as required to ensure a holistic approach to support
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (e.g., BEd, PGCE, or degree in Psychology or Social Work)
* Proven experience working with secondary school students with SEMH needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* A creative and flexible approach to problem-solving and supporting students
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in SEMH support
