An innovative and growing financial organisation is looking for a dynamic Credit Risk Manager to join their commercial team and lead the development of smart, data-driven credit strategies that support sustainable lending. Your expertise will directly influence risk policies and help create fairer access to financial solutions for thousands of customers!
What we’re looking for:
* Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on credit risk
* Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Excel
* Hands-on experience with credit bureau data and scoring techniques
* Strong communicator who can simplify complex data for broad audiences
* Highly analytical and adaptable in fast-paced environments
* Experience with Salesforce or data visualization tools
The finer elements of the role include:
* Develop and monitor both custom and bureau-based credit scorecards
* Build predictive models (e.g., Probability of Default) to improve credit decisions
* Leverage credit bureau data (e.g., TransUnion, Experian) to enhance segmentation and risk strategies
* Conduct exploratory analysis and data cleaning to ensure data quality
* Lead A/B testing and controlled experiments to evaluate strategy effectiveness
* Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
