Occupational Therapist - Community Children (Locum/Adhoc)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join the Community Children department on a locum ADHOC basis. Based in Gloucestershire, this full-time position involves providing essential therapeutic interventions to children within the community setting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Conducting occupational therapy assessments to evaluate children's needs and abilities.
2. Developing individualised treatment plans and goals in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
3. Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve children's functional abilities and independence.
4. Monitoring and evaluating therapy progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for children and their families.
6. Maintaining accurate documentation, including assessment reports, progress notes, and treatment plans.
7. Participating in professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
* Experience working with children and adolescents in healthcare or community settings is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Commitment to client-centred care and promoting independence and well-being.
* Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for community travel.
* Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months. Fast track options available with the update service.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not currently held.
Notes:
* Department: Community - Children
* Weekly Pay: Competitive rates via Umbrella
* Mileage Payment: 0.45p per mile for travel
