These are exciting times for the Northumberland County Council People and Culture Team as they work as a dynamic people function in partnership across the Council to drive improved performance in a new era of work. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking council on a 2 years fixed term contract. This is an exciting role and time to join the Council, as they partner with Deloitte on their transformation journey you will help with the role out of this change. You will play a key role in Planning and Strategy, supporting and advising managers on restructure rationale and objectives, using design principles and Job architecture as guiding tools and completing people impact assessments. Working closely with OD Advisers in considering wider impacts of restructure and change, support in developing and delivering communication strategy and managing employees reactions and morale during change. Role Design is an area you will take on, supporting in developing job descriptions, working closely with OD Advisor in ensuring they reflect current and future capability requirements. Working with employees and trade unions during the consultation process, advising on best practice, drafting documentation and developing consultation plans. This is an exciting role and an opportunity to get involved in aspects of HR you may not usually find in a generalist role. Candidates must be able to work from the Morpeth based County Hall as required, however they embrace their WorkSmart way of working which empowers and enables their people to do their best work in ways that boost productivity, engagement and wellbeing.
