Warehouse Shift Manager
Location: Distribution Centre – Biggleswade, SG18 8YL
Salary: Competitive DOE + Benefits
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 07.00-15.45

We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team.
The Role:
The Warehouse Shift Manager is accountable for managing a logistical team to accurately pick, pack and despatch customers’ orders, meeting customer specific requirements. Maintain a safe, clean, organised warehouse, ensuring secure control of company stock and assets.
As our Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Lead and manage a warehouse team to accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders.
• Ensure warehouse operations meet customer-specific requirements and business demand.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment.
• Monitor and safeguard company stock and assets.
• Coordinate team schedules and workloads to ensure daily logistics needs are met.
• Contribute to planning and staffing by forecasting future operational demand.
• Facilitate efficient handovers and collaborative team efforts through shift meetings and communications.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Proven experience managing warehouse operations, preferably in a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and coordinate a team.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to forecast operational needs and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety, security, and warehouse best practices.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills to assess performance and identify improvements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• A results-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and high standards.
