About the Job
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in payroll to join our busy, talented, and friendly payroll team! In this fast-paced role, you will assist with the end-to-end processing of our global payroll service, covering UK, European and Asian payrolls.
Working in a team of five and reporting into the Lead Payroll Advisor, you will be expected to meet deadlines across multiple payrolls to pay our employees across the globe accurately, on time, every time. You will need to be highly organised and plan your work efficiently, as you are responsible for the end-to-end service, processing, balancing, and making payments while juggling multiple priorities at once.
This role will allow you to develop your knowledge of international payrolls to support the delivery of payments in different currencies, understanding the unique payroll challenges of each country. You will be adaptable and consistent in responding positively as you assist with month end reporting to both internal and external departments.
Our Payroll Assistant will need to be confident and communicative, as the role requires interaction with employees on a one-to-one basis and assisting with employee workshops. It is important you have both the desire to listen and understand the employee to ensure they receive an excellent experience and be able to deal effectively with third parties.
You will enjoy continuing to learn, keeping up to date with all relevant payroll legislation, both within the United Kingdom and any other countries within which Games Workshop operates to ensure Games Workshop is always fully compliant.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the end-to-end processing of global payrolls (UK, European, Asian).
* Meet deadlines across multiple payrolls to pay employees accurately and on time.
* Process, balance and make payments, juggling multiple priorities.
* Support month‑end reporting to internal and external departments.
* Interact with employees one‑to‑one and assist with employee workshops.
* Deal effectively with third parties and maintain excellent employee experience.
* Keep payroll processes compliant with UK and international legislation.
Qualifications
* Experience processing UK payrolls.
* Good knowledge of payroll legislation.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Experience using the iTrent payroll system or similar reporting software is an advantage.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and a can‑do attitude.
