Job Summary

We're excited to welcome two enthusiastic and caring Senior Health Care Support Workers to our Dermatology team--one full-time and one part-time (28 hours/week). You'll be an important part of our friendly multidisciplinary team, helping deliver excellent, patient-focused dermatology care. This role is a great chance to make a real difference to patients' lives while building your own skills.

Your work will include providing safe, compassionate care according to individual plans, supporting clinical procedures, preparing patients, and keeping the clinic environment clean and welcoming. You'll also help with recording and monitoring patient care.

We’re looking for someone with healthcare experience—ideally in dermatology, outpatient or theatre settings—who is caring, reliable, and a good communicator. You'll need to work well both under supervision and on your own.

We provide full training, a supportive induction, and help with gaining the Care Certificate if needed. There are also plenty of opportunities to learn and grow within the team.

If you'd like to find out more or arrange a visit, please contact Caroline Williams or Vanessa Madriaga on 01752 432188 or email / .

Main duties of the job

You will carry out a range of clinical duties with minimal supervision, ensuring safe and effective care delivery. You will participate in patient assessments, providing high-quality holistic care and promptly escalating any concerns about patients to other clinical staff. You will lead by example and supervise or support junior staff members, helping to improve and maintain high standards of care. Additionally, you will carry out a variety of delegated clinical duties relevant to the service, including running dressing clinics, caring for patients during and after surgery (intra‑ and post‑operative care), assisting with scrub work during procedures, and supporting skin cancer and patch testing clinics. This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be required as part of the role.

Please note that applications from temporary workers who have been engaged with the Trust for a minimum of 3 months are welcome.
